Control the Grind, Before it Grinds You

They say the “Grind Don’t Stop”, well maybe it should. After 1 year in business, I can say controlling burnout is one of the biggest lessons I have learned. In today’s culture, the hustle is glorified while mental health seems to always at the forefront, it more often than takes the backseat. Burnout is real. The idea of burning the midnight oil and grinding 24/7 is outdated! One of the best pieces of advice I received was “ You can do all things, but you can’t do everything”. Here some ways to help you ease the grind before it grinds you.
Set Boundaries( and Enforce them)
Put yourself on a schedule, seriously. Whether you are a side or full-time entrepreneur, it helps. Having a cut-off time can seem like an impossible feat. The reality is there will always be stuff that you can be doing, but you don’t have to do it all in one day.
Let DND become your best friend. You don’t always have to respond to that email right when you receive it. If you are in a service-based business it is important to set terms for how and when you can be contacted. Work those terms into your agreement so the expectation is there upfront for client relations.
Create lists
At the beginning of the week to take the scope of all that you need to accomplish. This could be emails, client orders that need to ship out, or other miscellaneous business tasks. Either way, you should start by writing it all out and then breaking it down into daily tasks. If you are in a business where you have a team, delegate! You do not have to do everything.
Invest in tools
Tools help make your life easier and save you time. They are literally a lifesaver especially if you are a solopreneur. You may not have the team behind you yet, but you can help yourself to operate more organized and smoothly.

Do What Is Best For You
Don’t fixate on what other people are doing or compare! It is so easy to make your milestones Belook like small hills compared to others’ journeys and processes. Focus on your lane, and what your vision is! You got this. At the end of the day, you know yourself. Run your business, but don’t let it run you! Take care of yourself in the process of running your business.
